It is measurable. It is earned. Through a structured 15-region national model, Legends Kicking Academy identifies, tracks, and evaluates the top kickers using verified data, in-game performance metrics, and established elite standards.

Honoring the Best High School Punter in the Country
Named for one of the greatest punters in NFL history, the Shane Lechler Award is a season-long national evaluation recognizing the most complete and elite high school punter in the country. Like its counterpart on the kicking side, it is performance-based, measurable, and earned. It identifies, tracks, and evaluates the top punters through verified data, in-game performance, and established elite standards.

The Adam Vinatieri Award and the Shane Lechler Award represent the pursuit of excellence at the highest level of high school kicking and punting. These two national awards will identify and recognize the nation's elite high school specialists through a competitive, performance-based national evaluation system.

16 Regional Showcases
Establishes who qualifies
Legends Kicking Academy will conduct 16 Regional Showcase & Prospect Camps across the United States, giving kickers and punters from throughout the country the opportunity to compete, be evaluated, and prove themselves on the field. At each showcase, athletes participate in structured charting and performance evaluations — data that establishes measurable results, compared across all 16 regions.
Elite Finalists
Top 8–10 kickers · Top 8–10 punters
Following each regional showcase, Legends Kicking Academy evaluates the accumulated charting and performance data and identifies the top 8–10 kickers and top 8–10 punters from that showcase. Those athletes are selected as Elite Finalists and earn an invitation to Indianapolis.

The best kickers and punters from all 16 regional showcases come together to compete head-to-head on a national stage. This is where regional performance meets national competition — and where Indianapolis determines who is No. 1.

At the conclusion of the national final, one kicker will earn the Adam Vinatieri Award and be recognized as the No. 1 high school kicker in the United States. One punter will earn the Shane Lechler Award and be recognized as the No. 1 high school punter in the United States.

Named in honor of Shane Lechler, one of the most accomplished punters in professional football history, the Shane Lechler Award represents excellence at the highest level of the punting position. The athlete who proves himself above the national field in Indianapolis will earn it, and the distinction of being named the No. 1 high school punter in the nation.

The Adam Vinatieri Award is a season-long national evaluation recognizing the most complete and elite high school kicker in each region of the United States. This award is performance-based. It is measurable. It is earned.
Through a structured 15-region national model, Legends Kicking Academy identifies, tracks, and evaluates the top kickers in the country using verified data, in-game performance metrics, and established elite standards. At the conclusion of the regular football season, one athlete from each region who meets the established performance criteria will receive the Adam Vinatieri Award.
